Work through the framework.
1. The situation
Describe what exists now and what is not working. Keep this factual: an unclear offer, inconsistent visuals or a repetitive task is more useful than “we need something better”.
2. The intended outcome
Write what the audience or team should be able to understand or do after the work is delivered. Separate that outcome from the formats you want.
3. The deliverables
List the pages, assets, workflows or documents needed. Include channels, file formats and any language or accessibility requirements.
4. The inputs and permissions
Identify approved copy, images, data and reference materials. Name the owner of any missing input and any restrictions on its use.
5. The decisions
Name the person collecting feedback, the final approver, the preferred review dates and the budget range if known.
